Is it too late? Made a bad decision.. - HIV Prevention Message Board

Maybe about half a year ago, I had an unprotected anal encounter with a friend. I have always went safe in the past, but made an exception with the friend in question. Told me he was clean and with me feeling pressured, we went ahead... Of course now, its tearing me apart being worried to insanity. I havent been noticably ill going on 6 years now; any symptoms: stomach aches or headaches disappear within hours to a day. Ive been frantically researching and contemplating the possibility and is being run into the ground. Ive been wanting to get tested but wasnt sure if its still within the time suggested upon seeing its best to get tested within 3 months?

Having things point to the possibility and things support my well-being, I'm not sure what to think anymore.

go get tested! and put you mind to rest,no reason to fear testing, it will only help you. 3 months is the recomondation from the cdc.but a earlier result is a very good indicator of your status and will help put your mind at ease.

you misunderstood me,you have waited 6 years, no need to wait or worry about the reliability of your results
the 3 months is from the last time you were at risk,lets say you had sex 2 weeks ago,they would want you would want you to go 3 months from the last exposure before the results were considered conclusive
