I had unsafe anal sex with an stanger on Nov 2006 and since the first day I have been afraid of being HIV +. I had a depression that has been almost gone since december and somehow I was stupid and decided until 6 months are gone to finally have the test. I have no had any early symptons and I was almost "happy " until today.
I somehow conviced myself to wait for the worst.
Now the worst has happened but not to me.
I have had protected sex with my long term boyfriend since we decided to have sex with condoms always.
My real problem now is that we have been very distant and have not had sex in a long time and I was blaming myself because I have been trying to protect him. In the other hand, he was also distant and he found out today that he is hiv+ because he had some unprotected sex in August 2006.
Now I am at double risk and also I feel totally upset because I feel life is very ironic.

don't be down,there is still a great chance you are ok and still negative.
go get tested, at 3 months is considered conclusve so you don't have to wait and also it will stop the wondering and beating yourself up so you have nothing to loose. good luck

First...as for YOU, Cool, thank God Almighty EVERY DAY for the rest of your LIFE that you have been given a GIFT...use it wisely and NEVER FORGET IT!

We are, afterall, HUMAN, and, unfortunately sometimes, our own worst enemy and thus make very foolish mistakes. It's just our nature. I know I have made MANY very foolish mistakes in my life of 58-years...most of them when I was drinking booze heavily.

I am proud to say that I have been SOBER for 15 YEARS...BUT, I am still HUMAN.

I am deeply sorry about your mate, Cool. RUN DON'T WALK to your nearest HIV treatment center for medical help!!

I'm really sorry to hear about your boyfriend. Please go get tested so that you can have peace of mind no matter what the results show.
