| Re: scared about gettin tested, just in my head?
Hi there,
Ok the first thing to clear up is if you are at all and I mean at all concerned about your HIV status is very important that you get tested to determine what it is. It is pointless looking for signs and symptoms, there is only one way to determine your HIV status, a blood test.
Having said that and without trying to second guess the outcome of anybodies blood test, it is worth remembering HIV is very difficult to transmit from one person to another. Despite what you may have read about washing your hands or otherwise, HIV is extremely difficult to transmit.
Another thing worth pointing out is you don’t know for certain that the person you had a relationship ten years ago was HIV positive, again this stacks the odds greatly in your favor.
Cutting to the chase and the bottom line, is if you are at all concerned, then you must find out your HIV status. To ignore your own worries will simply make matters worse and it will continue to play on your mind. To ease your mind, the only way forward is to go for a blood test. Your results will be absolute, 100%. Like I said I couldn’t offer you an online diagnosis but the chances of you having contracted HIV are very small.
Best of luck with your test, having one will ease your mind and get rid of any doubt.
Take care Kevin
