I slept with a prostitute. I thought I was being very careful and safe. I did not preform or recieve any oral activities (even kissing) and wore a latex condom with Ky9-jelly during intercourse. I withdrew while maintaining my erection and the condom appeared intact. She then wiped me down with a wet towel. I have no idea if she had used the towel on herself. This was about 4 1/2 weeks ago. Unfortunately I've noticed a slight itching around my urethera, and have had some clear discharge. I did have one instance of painful ejucalation, but haven't had that since. These are the only symptoms I've had. I'm guessing this might be Chlamydia and will see a doctor ASAP. However I do have a few questions: Could the symptoms I described be something else? Being that I was very safe, how did I catch it (assuming Chlamydia). I had a small cut on my finger, and I did get this cut into some KY jelly that was extracted on the bedsheet during intercourse. Would this be a possible route of Chlamydia? What are the chances for other STD's such as HIV? Thanks for your time.

you should have no worry of hiv as you used protection..
for the other std's that won't matter in some cases so
your concerns should be about that.

Thank you SMiteler. I had kind of thought this, but hearing it from another person is reassuring.

EDIT: SMiteler, I've just went back and read some of your posts. I want to personally thank you for all of the reassurance that you have brought to people who may not have the necessary facts.

HIV is understandably scarry, and you are doing a great job of taking away some of that fear.
