Greensushi,
I know the things that have been happening are very scary for you. However, you did state that you used protection "religiously", right? If, in fact, you were VERY careful with your previous partners re: exchanging bodily fluids (semen, blood, vaginal fluids), and assuming you do not inject iv drugs (sharing needles w/ somone), and you do not engage in unprotected homosexual intercourse....your risks are very low. HIV has to enter through either an open cut,or mix with your bodily fluids in some fashion. Kissing is not a huge deal unless open sores are involved. That's it in a nutshell. I, too was tested and fretted and worried the whole two weeks too. It's a natural reaction to a very scary thing. Relax!!!! Your body goes through a lot when you have surgery and you'll feel a host of things you've never experienced, don't jump to conclusions. If you trust your dr and he's steered you properly before...trust him now! Take care and good luck with your recovery.
