Hi guys,

I have posted before and now my story is a little more complicated. In a nutshell, I had unprotected sex with a friend, 70 days later I tested and the result was negative. Thank goodness. Well, we partied together, I got drunk, had unprotected sex AGAIN with the same guy. I know, stupid. I swear I will never drink again. Serioulsy I can't even bear to look at it. Anyway, it was a "quickie", no condom, he withdrew. So I was possibly exposed to precum. He had been seeing a new girl, which he is still with. He says she is fine. I know that he and I were ok because my test came back neg(this was from exposures in Sept and Oct.) However, this last time happenned on Dec. 2. He has been with her since end of Oct.

Now, I do not know if she has HIV. He doesn't think she does, they have unprotected sex all the time. She does not think she has it. BUT....WHAT IF???

That is the only and LAST time I was with the guy. Possible exposure to precum. Please someone, what is my risk?? Oh, I am getting tested again but am waiting for the full 3months. Which is torture alreadY!!!

You are really making yourself miserable arent you? Are you spending your days 24/7 worrying about the worst possible scenario? and you were stating that you and your hubby want to have a kid? Are you sure that is appropriate?.

All you can do is take a 90 day test. If its negative forget about it and move on. You've had a 70 day test which is an excellent indicator you do NOT have HIV. Calling this guy and asking him repeatedly does no good. He should have told you he had herpes but HIV is not as easily transmitted as HSV. It doesnt matter which generation Elisa was used, most labs use 3rd anyways even if it was 1st, it is still fairly accurate at 70 days.

First to clarify the situation- the situation I am in now is a total different one from a few months ago. I slept with the man on several different occassion. In early Sept, again in mid Oct, and then again in early Dec. So the test I took at 70 days on Dec 20 was ONLY for the exposures that happenned in Sept and Oct.

I am now in a whole new waiting period. And yes, you are right, I do spend most of my days thinking up the worst possible scenarios because I cannot seem to do otherwise. I have an enormous amount of guilt, shame, and remorse laying on my shoulders. Perhaps this is why I am so incredibly terrified. And yes I am already in therapy for it. If you think I am being irrational, please tell me. Maybe that is what I need to hear. An unbiased truthful outlook on my situation.

Here is the recap- slept with a married guy in Sept and Oct, had a negative Elisa at 70 days post exposure. Slept with him again Dec 2, waiting to test for that last exposure. Have not been with him since nor will I ever again. My problem comes because he has been sleeping with his wife this whole time and what if SHE has cheated on him during the months of Oct and Nov, right before I slept with him that last time.

Whew! I am a mess! I just read aloud that last line and it sounds pretty bad. Just please give me your honest opinions, everyone. Thank you.

Please, if I can get your outlooks on my situation I would greatly appreciate it. I am having a very hard time with this. Thank you.

Oh, and to ease your minds since Tempermental brought up info I discussed on another board- no I am not having unprotected sex with my husband.
