Post Just a few points that I wouldn't mind answered!

Two and a half months ago I went to a brothel and had sex with a condom. Brothels in Melbourne are legalised and special safety procedures take place once every three to four weeks where sex workers get checked for STDs HIV etc. Two weeks after that encounter I went to another Brothel this one was also legalised. This is the only time Ive ever had sex and both times were with a condom. They put the condom on for you and take it on so they must have known what they were doing. Two weeks after the second encounter I started getting sorethroats that came and went even when using antibiotics. But the word AIDS never came into my mind. This sore throat kept coming and going I started coughing and had a normal blood test six weeks after the encounter for Glandular Fever I didnt have swallen glands everything on my blood test came back normal. I then had an x rAY on my chest every thing was clear. After I finished my tablets for the fourth time I had a dry cough and my throat was better but still had a little annoying feeling here and there. i went for a check up doctor said I was fine. it was then when I started looking up stuff on the Internet thaT Istarted suffering from anxiety I was worried. That all these symptoms like sore throats and stuff had happened to me. I started stressing out so much that I struggled to eat and didnt sleep for three nights. I spoke to friends who told me I shouldnt worry about HIV coz it wasnt just some girl off the street. i spent hours crying and it started effecting my life in general. I play proffesional soccer here in australia and my team mates and everyone around me started to see a change in my attitude and way of life. I then went to the doctor crying and told him.
He was 100& positive that I didnt have what I thought I had coz I went to a brothel he tested me for STDS and HIV from his office which he sent away and are due back on friday. during this week ive been stressing i started getting savere back and shoulder pain started getting bowel movements and my nose was constantly running. It was after the docotr told me it was me worrying and struggling to focus on life that made me start eating again sleeping and enjoying life. I feel sicker when I stress about it and stay depressed. Its always on top of my head and I always check to see if I have rashes and wake up in the middle of the night to see if im sweating I had a dream last night I was sleeping and my top was drenched in sweat when I woke up I felt my top and it was dry and I realised I was dreaming my mind is elsewhere at the moment and I wont rest until I know im 100% in the clear but what scared me was that cold that didnt go away and im still carrying a little bit of it. But i also skipped doses of antibitoics coz I was out drinking maybe that slowed me down im trying to remain postitive but im worried because i still have bowel movemetns I dont have diarehea and im going to the toilet once a day like I usually do. I didnt have bowl movements before I started stressing about this. Any help or suggestions?

Thumbs up

You used protection!!! That is what counts! HIV is not trasmitted when condoms are used. Your risk is extremely small! Rest easy. I am surprised you actually are being tested!

The first time I had sex with a girl at one of the brothels was October 18th then two weeks later on November 1st both times with a condom. I had my STD, Hep & HIV test on January 10th and got them back today all negative. Doctor said my blood tests were alright and to repeat them in 3 months should I still be worrying. I told my doctor I have white coating on my tongue he said not to worry about it, that could be because I have been on anti biotics for the last month and it's been two weeks since I have taken one. I have trouble calculating how many weeks it's been from 18th October - 1st November to the 10th of January. Some one share some light at the end of the tunnel for me.

highly unlikely you would be infected exspecially since you had protected intercourse. Australia has the lowest HIV?AIDS cases in the entire pandemic, so that may shed some light to. Your not convinced go to the CDC's website and research the stats. Another one is WHO or whatever. By the way stop going to ***** houses. exspecially if you fear infection this much. Unfortunately their are plenty of women willing to haev sex without being paui for it, try it, you may even like it it's a hell of alot cheaper. But use protection always and you wont have to ahve these sorts of fears after every encounter, bottom line you shouldnt be having these fears.

Well the antibiotics could have caused the diareha too and if you were drinking I am pretty sure that takes away the affectiveness of the antibiotic too. You say she put it on and took it off? I think your safe but we can all tell you that and it wont matter. Only that test from you Doc is gonna matter to you. You'll be fine and by the way I love soccer used to watch my brothers play its a wonderful sport.
