Exposure to oxygen and drying out are the enemies of the HIV virus.
Inside a sealed container (like a syringe it can remain viable for a month or more.)
So, yes, the virus can remain viable for a while if mixed with lubricant...probably longer with an oil based (non drying) lubricant....but these shouldn't be used with latex in any case. Also even when seemingly dry, killing the virsus probably takes a finite amount of time.
Once out of the body, care should be taken not to reintroduce any fluids into a partner....Hit the showers!
