Yes most states have this law, but let me explain to you what happen in my friend's situation...she had intercourse with a man who knew he was positive. He never admitted it to her, but she found out she was + 4 mos later. He was also sleeping with several other women and not telling them. I tried to call and report him to several different people, but it was always after hours and no one would ever return my calls. Finally, I got through to someone to let them know what this man was doing and I was concerned that no one would take me serious. She said that if they would have questioned him he could have pressed charges against me for invasion of privacy. The only thing that could be done is this man would have to admit he knew he was + and still slept with these women. Of course we all know he's not gonna do that. They also recommended that we get all the girls he infected together and take him to court, but if he's not willing to take a test or again admit to knowing chances are they would lose the case. Pretty sorry system huh? If this person has ever admitted being + to anyone that could side with you in court then you may have a case. Of course it would be his word against you and whoever testifies with you.
