I think your buddies are not very well informed. First of all, HIV is concentrated in diffrent amounts throughout the body. Although it exists in tears, sweat and saliva, the amount is so small that there is no risk. Second, to contract HIV the virus must get into your system through DIRECT CONTACT with your blood stream, such as an open wound. So, the chance that you can catch it in the way you have mentioned is virtually impossible. IF HIV was even presents, I doubt you came in contact with it in anyway that would get it into your bloodstream. The CDC is not in the buisness of comforting worriers, they are there to offer help and education, so if he said your in the clear, you probably are. Now, your more educated about this then your buddies are, so stay safe.
