Hey Everybody,
Almost 5months ago, I went through the depression being concerned about whether I caught the HIV virus or not.Finally after having been tested negative, I want to help people who live with HIV/AIDS.I would like to ask you if you know any organization that is looking for volunteers in NYC area.I'd be glad, if you could answer my question.Helping me, you can help also other people.

Hi...I don't know of any in NYC, (sure there are..just don't live there) I wanted to say kudos to you for helping.

Glad that everthing turned out ok.

In NYC there is Gay Mens Health Crisis (GMHC). You can give them a call and inquire. As well as Gods Love We Deliver. They prepare cooked meals to those homebound with AIDS. You might ask them if there is anything you can do (help prepare the meals, or if you drive you can help deliver the meals). Whatever you decide, it's wonderful that you want can give your time and love.

Check out Camp Viva. It is a one week summer camp for Westchester families that have been struck by HIV/AIDS. Volunteers for next summer are needed. Contact Family Services of Westchester in White Plains for more information or reply to me here. There is a description online - just search for Camp Viva.
