| Re: what are my chances
Hi,
I don't know how long swollen lymph nodes last, but are you sure that's what you have? Did the doctor confirm that's what you have? So many people post here about having what they think are swollen lymph nodes and that they went to a doctor, but they never say if the doctor confirmed the lymph nodes and what he/she said about it.
I ask because you can also get "bumps" at your temple area (near the ears) from minor skin infections that will go away on their own, especially if you have pierced ears or occasional acne (I get them sometimes.) So are you sure you even have swollen lymph nodes? People sometimes think they do, and what they're feeling is not a lymph node.
Stiff neck and jaw hurting are probably symptoms of your stress, not a virus. I feel that way when I'm under stress, especially thinking and worrying about health concerns (and I'm not just saying that! I really do get a stiff jaw/neck until I calm myself down.)
Now that you've hit the 2 month point, perhaps you can get another antibody test before you see your wife, but based on your 2 week PCR result, it sounds like you're probably negative.
Then when you test negative again on an antibody test in the next week or two, you will need to decide whether to be honest and tell your wife the truth. I would personally want to know...You should not have sex with your wife until your doctor has cleared you of all STDs (STIs) you might have contracted.
But anyway, your symptoms sound like normal symptoms everyone has (diarrhea on occasion) and stress (stiff jaw/neck), so try to meditate and keep yourself calm, and I bet you'll feel fine.
