I just had a consultation with a ear nose throat specialist. my throat and tonsils are swollen but she didn't find it too swolen to cause a mild fever during night. had also a Complete blood count test, my result will be tommorow. in the meanwhile, she prescribed me some antibiotics. I am really concerned why I still get a mild fever during night time, it's been two weeks, but not straight though, had days didn't had a mild fever.
I am still so scared, I can't get rid of my soar throat and fever.
you have NO reason to be scared..
i have had hiv (for over 13yrs)and live a normal life.
if you met me i would be willing to bet everything i own
you would never know i have it.
at work i run circles around people
who don't have it.
yeah i have to take some pills and
give some blood and see a doc more then a normal person would
and if i have sex with someone i have to inform them and be careful
but that is about all that is different besides it messing
with my mind
when i made the choice not to let it
it really isn't as bad as many want you to think.
quit overthinking, relax push it out of your mind and get tested
and base your reations to what is real
don't keep asking yourself
how you feel or what symptoms you have
will have really no bearing on your hiv status..
what risk you took is!
and you didn't take a risk
Thank you for your response smiteler. my imagination is just unfruitful on these circumstances. specialy when feeling ill up to this day, my mind is just at unease. If only my mild fever is gone, I would not think this way. my soar throat is almost gone after my antibiotic and I'm still puzzled I'm still feeling cold at night time.
I am just going crazy. I am feeling dizzy for the past 18hrs after a 2 hour trip. I got a swollen elbow joint for 18hrs since then too. (epitrochlear nodes perhaps? I hope not) but it only appears red but didn't appear enlarged. still getting occasional bad mood in my stomach. feverish is gone, but could still feel bit warmer from my breath. while my throat is very itchy. one of our house members is catching fever too.
I am going to look for a specialist. we are limited here, I can only see a "infectious disease" specialist. do you think that kind of specialist can help me diagnose what kind of viral/bacterial issues I have? or anyone can suggest me what common specialist in a 3rd world should I see?
can anyone tell me if this is associated with lymph node?

Just want to give update, if anyone is still interested to hear my rants.
This time, I am monitoring my temp and it looks like I never had any fever, 37'c. only cold sweats. but still have cold sweats for a month and sore throat too.
motion sickness is almost gone, but this time, I felt sharp pains on my lymph nodes, most specialy on my left neck and my left elbow. I asked my doctor to check it twice already and she did not notice any swollen nodes. yet I feel sharp pains like something sticking me with small needles.
just hate it when it involves epitroclear nodes, they are narrowed down on few possible cause including HIV.
this is just getting more freaky than ever. still have pains when I apply pressure on my near elbow nodes and neck nodes. and now when I woke up, I felt few poking sensation under my armpit and near my groin. also have poking sensation on some areas on my arms and fingers, Thigh, kneee and toes where veins are and even my spleen. This is my fifth week after a low risk exposure.
I hope any other infection also does this because I am going crazy guys.
asano i have a feeling that even when you get a neg result you may still feel that the test could be wrong because of your posts and almost zero chance of infection....there is a board/group on here that may help you and that is the OCD board, you may want to check it out.
Hi zoranm, I haven't been diagnosed with OCD but I do believe I'm a bit OC. however, I still feel the symptoms up to this moment. right now I am feeling chills with little sweat, yet no fever. If only I don't have this symptoms, I think I can forget about this and move on.
