Protected sex and cunnilingus

This is my first post and id appreciate very much for your view and advice on the ordeal that i am in. On the 18th of May, i performed around 10 sec of cunillingus on a CSW(escort service) from eastern europe and proceeded to engage in protected sex with her for about 2 min before guilt set in and i decided to stop without ejaculation. Ive been reading online and am getting quite confused on the risk of hiv through cunilingus. Dr Hunter Hansfield and Dr Hook are of opinion that the risk is too small to worry about and even adviced some of the online members that hiv test is not required if this is the only exposure. My anxiety is really bad as i have a history of panic attacks. Yesterday i took a home hiv test kit and it came out negative, i know this is way too early to be conclusive. What are your thoughts on hiv transmissions through cunnilingus and what tests are available for me to take to give an accurate and conclusive hiv status at around 12 days of potential exposure. 3 months is way too long and i dont know how im going to survive the wait. Thank you so much for all the advice that you have given.

Re: Protected sex and cunnilingus

HIV is not transmitted through cunnilingus for many reasons, primarily because the mouth is not a hospitable place for the virus. Saliva has a number of proteins that function in innate immune defense against viruses. There are other reasons but there is really no need to get into those. The bottom line is there are no confirmed cases of anybody being infected through cunnilingus. You did not have an exposure that requires HIV testing. You should just forget about this and move on with your life.

Re: Protected sex and cunnilingus

HI,

Had you had a risk, you are correct you did test too early. As it is you did not have a risk of an HIV infection. I agree with Joggen, buddy forget this and move on with your life. HIV is not a concern for you, unless you make it one.

And I am sorry but there are no short cuts to HIV testing. Had you had a risk of an HIV infection, which you didn’t, you would have to test out to 12 weeks.

Kevin.

Re: Protected sex and cunnilingus

Buddy if you wish to test out over this for peace of mind you should not test until at least six weeks. You will not really get any meaningful result until this point.

Please bear in mind while you wait that you are only testing for peace of mind here and not because you have put yourself at a risk of an HIV infection.

In the meantime keep off the net, keep away from HIV websites and do yourself a huge favour of not going down the well-trodden road of symptom chasing. You will achieve nothing by being glued to a pc for the next few weeks and HIV is never diagnosed by the amount or lack of symptoms. Nor is it ever self-diagnosed. Occupy your mind with other thoughts as you wait to receive what will inevitably be a negative result.

Kevin.

Re: Protected sex and cunnilingus

Then you should get another doctor because this one does not know what he/she is talking about. Condoms if used correctly offer 100% protection against an HIV infection. This is fact, buddy.

How can any doctor say that? Condoms when used correctly are 100% safe in the protection against HIV. I cannot belive your doctor said that, infact i dont belive he said that. I mean you have been to the doctors in the last hour have you? - Nope.

So your doctor didnt say it then, you made that up? So you have read "somthing" online and using that as the basis of your concern. Well i found "online" that Aliens live on the dark side of the moon and will take over this planet in June, so you wont have to worry about your HIV non conern then

Ps, no you cannot put external links on here buddy, besides that link is not worth having

Re: Protected sex and cunnilingus

The effectiveness of condoms in preventing HIV infections is not in question, anybody who advises you differently should not be taken seriously.

As you have been advised, your risk was zero and you have no reason to keep bouncing around the net looking for ways to keep frightening yourself, because that is all you are doing here.

As you have also been advised, if you wish to test out for HIV at six weeks for peace of mind, you should do so. Based on what you have posted you have no reason to expect a positive result.

Kevin.
