Re: OH NO, Am I infected from safe sex

We already know the outcome, its just a shame you have not listened to the advice, but all know your status

Re: OH NO, Am I infected from safe sex

I just want to make sure that these weird symptoms is not HIV because I really don't want to infect anyone, that would be worst that actually having the virus.

I never had swollen saliva glands before ever and it all occurred around the same time, I also started to have small red bumps on my hand around (3), I know it's not much but I never had these before either. The neck gland swelling gives me a chipmunk look so I am definitely fighting something.

Can anyone answer this question: Is a 12 week rapid HIV test conclusive???

100% conclusive, but all your tests are as you never had a risk. You would be better off spending your time and money with a doctor to help you find the cause of this as HIV testing will tell you nothing.

Re: OH NO, Am I infected from safe sex

Well here is an updated as I said I would post one.

*Took a quick oral rapid HIV1/2 antibody saliva test at 13 weeks: Results Negative
*Took a blood rapid HIV test at an anonymous clinic at 14 weeks: Results Negative
*Repeated a blood rapid HIV test at the same anonymous clinic at 15 weeks: Result Negative.

My symptoms have slowly started to dis-appear including the swollen saliva gland (took almost 7 weeks for these glands to go back to normal.

So there you have it, I don't think it was HIV even though I had every symptom including swollen lymph node, the symptoms just went away on it's own. The only way to find out is to get tested...

Now here's my question, is it even worth it to get re-tested at 6 months just to be sure?

Buddy it was not worth testing in the first place. You have needlessly worried and tested for something you have absolutely zero chance of being infected with.

It is your call; nobody on any forum can tell you how to run your life. If you wish to waste yet another 3 months, needlessly worrying and needlessly testing by all means do.

The advice from here is unequivocal. You were NOT exposed to HIV.

Any test past the 13 week is excessive. Not needed in your case either. The more you test for HIV, the more chance you have for getting a false postive. They are pretty rare, but can happen. With your tendency towards anxiety over this, imagine what a false positive would do to you.

You were never at risk for HIV.

You don't think it was HIV? You should be here saying " It was NOT HIV!! Whew!!...I let anxiety get the best of me!!"

There are NO symptoms of HIV. It is a tremendous disservice that sites and people keep listing "ARS symptoms", as they are only a miniscule clue that can be factored into RISK. If there was zero RISK, there is ZERO need for HIV testing. This was the case with you.

It has already been said in theposts above me....every single test you took for this encounter was not needed. So any test from here on out is a problem with anxiety over HIV, a totally unfounded one. If you do feel anxious about HIV still, please do seek help. I do not mean that as dismissive or an insult, but it is irrational to have the HIV fear you have at this point. You DO NOT HAVE HIV.
