Update: Sex with HIV positive man

Hi again to all HIV experts,

This is my another post, to update the real situation. If you refer to my previous posting, I mentioned about me, being a bottom and having a protected sex, rash at 7.8 weeks, and 8.8 weeks test negative.

Now here the update.

At 13 weeks, I had a rapid test, turn out to be negative. The next day, I found out that the person that I had sex with was HIV positive. Then at 14 weeks, I took another test at different clinic and different kit, the result turn out to be negative.

Question. Should I retest at 6 months for conclusive result?Even though we had protected sex, but does his status of being positive put me in the high risk group and should re-test at 6 months?

Thanks a lot guys!

your assumption is wrong.
you had "protected sex" that means you were protected from ANY risk!
no testing is needed

Thanks a lot guys!

Re: Update: Sex with HIV positive man

Thanks guys, I really appreciate that. This means I can have a good night sleep, and feel free like a bird now after tested HIV negative at 14 weeks.
