One mistake HB User
DNA PCR Test question.
What is the accuracy of the DNA-PCR test at day 14. I recently got that test and came back negative. But the worry and anxiety still remains.

The place that I got tested (seems very reputed) - they say that the test can detect the virus as early as 6 days after encounter.. but doctors "recommend" 21 days.. Also it is always accompanied by an antibody test.
Also a lot of forums seem to suggest that it can detect virus in most people by 10 days.

Thanks for your help everyone. I really appreciate it. The nervousness and anxiety is absolutely killing me.

You never had an exposure to HIV in the first place so all this is pretty meaningless.

Thanks Rahul2. I appreciate ur response and all u guys responding to my queries. I just want some peace of mind. I'm not questioning you guys but the fear and anxiety is overwhelming. Pls forgive me and help me. Your support is extremely important for me during this difficult time. pls let me know what you think abt DNAPCR at 14 days. Seems like it is pretty conclusive but need your thoughts .

All i can sat buds is you never had a risk and your test proved it. Its up to you how long you test for, but the results are not going to change.

I really really want to believe you all and I'm praying to God that you are all right. It's just that I'm getting these severe night sweats which is scaring the hell out of me and the burning sensations don't go away either. I have never had something like this happen to me before :-(

You tested negative despite getting those symptoms.Meaning they are not related to HIV.Seems like stress related. Stress is one of the most common reasons of night sweats which you are going through..
