French - test duo at 11 weeks and 4 days (81 days)

Hello and sorry for my English.

I had 3 months ago (12 weeks) a sexual relationship vaginally with a prostitute.

Unfortunately, the condom broke and I retired immediately.

I had some symptoms and I did two tests: 6 weeks and now 11 weeks and 4 days, négatives

This is conclusive or do it again next week ?

I did not really want to stress too much because I retest every time ..

France in the time from 3 months to 6 weeks but I am officially anxieu and I know you good advice on this forum.

Martin.

Your test at that time scale is conclusive, you dont have hiv. :-)

Hi Buddy,

Now a days the HIV testing is so sensitive that it can find the virus, if any, within 4-6 weeks. But your 11 weeks post test shows negative so you dont have to worry. Just consider yourself fine and you did the right thing to use protection. Keep it up.

Appolo thank you.

Small question:

France has officially set for regulatory delays to 6 weeks for 2 years. (We use the same test you duo)

For a large country like the United States do not set deadlines as a low (6/8 weeks for example)?

I have read interventions English and American experts who have never seen yet testing positive after 8 weeks.

Most experts would conclude a 8 week test is conclusive on that basis. The CDC still use 12 weeks as that's the official window period.
