I had unprotected m to m sex on oct. 1st '2012. it was oral both ways and he insterted a finger in my back side. it was with a sex worker. late oct 13th til about the morning of oct 16th I had became ill with what felt like the flu. I had made an appointment with a health clinic and an std panel done on Oct 16th afternoon. it included , gohnorea, clamidia, syphlis and well as hiv. The tests all came back nonreactive (negative). I breath a sigh of relief as I was very anxious during my "sick feeling". I felt better after the news and slowly got back to normal (within the next day). I was feeling good, riding bicycle etc. then on Oct. 25th, about a week later, right before I went to sleep, I felt this tightness in my throat near/below my adams apple. I got very anxious and didnt sleep much that night. 2 days later, while still feeling this tighness, i had 1 open ulcer on the roof of my mouth. the open ulcer thing, went away in a couple of days. tightness seemed to stay.
This continued for the next week. I was very anxious. paced the apartment most of the night. and didnt sleep much. About nov. 4th I started feeling a bit dizzy, it slowly went away. and was gone by mid day nov. 7th
On Nov. 7th I went to see general practice doc and the put my on paxal and something else to calm me down. He did a blood work up and std screen. my cbc was all normal, hiv at 5.5 weeks came back nonreactive(3rd gen test antibody). herpes I hsv oral came back a 2.0 where 1.1 and greater is pos. so i have herpes I.
I'm a type II diabetic, by sugar numbers are a bit elevated too. since about the middle of october. my blood pressure was up at the beginning of october (128/94, by doc checked it during a reg apptment), then by the time i went to see doc on nov 7th it was back down. 115/72
Is this all anxiety? can i have some confidence in my 5.5 week(3rd generation antibody) nonreactive test? Now it's the 8 week and 2 day mark, and I want to check it again with the oralquick $40 test. Do you think it will stay negative? I plan on doing the 3 month ELI when it's time.

You are not alone, I am going through the same thing. It's awful. And I wish you the best of luck. Usually, after a person tests negative after 6 weeks, that is a good indicator of the persons status. Yes aniexty does bring a lot of symptoms. But the only way to know for sure is to test negative at 12 weeks. I wish you the best of luck and stay strong through all this.
