My last thread here. Sorry for the trouble.

I had protected vaginal intercourse with a sex worker 4 months ago. I know everyone said that I was at no risk, but my friends have told me about sex workers here making holes in condoms and for some reason I cant seem to get it out of my head.

I got tested at 4 months. I'm not sure what the exact name of the test was, but they took a drop of blood and put it onto two different strips. After 15 minutes my result was negative.

The thing is, how conclusive is that result? For the past couple weeks, Ive been having a low grade fever intermittently during the day combined with fatigue. I read that fevers that come and go are a common symptom of ARS. Is it likely that I'm having a delayed seroconversion after 3 months?

Thanks so much for bearing with me. Im sorry if my questions have been annnoying

Re: My last thread here. Sorry for the trouble.

Your friends are incorrect and if anything are playing with your mind. If their was a hole in the condom it would break, or be to small to be any concern. That said your test was conclusive at 3 months. Delayed sero is not a concern for you and this whole thing should not be either.

You do not have HIV....it is impossible because you had protected sex and you also tested negative well past the window period. Symptoms mean NOTHING.

Your friends simply have no idea what they are talking about. If you cannot get it out of your head, I would talk to a conselor, that is OCD/anxiety issue.

That is urban legend and nothing more. Sex workers use condoms to protect themselves from their customers. They're not going to intentionally make the condom fail.

Re: My last thread here. Sorry for the trouble.

Thanks for the responses.

Ive developed a sore throat and on checking, there are blisters on the back of my throat. It does not appear to be thrush.

Im very worried that my test was a false negative due to late seroconversion

The reason Im worried so much is that I have never had these specific health issues before, and within so close a time frame

Im really grateful for the help you have given me and Im really sorry to be annoying like this

Re: My last thread here. Sorry for the trouble.

You never had a risk and you have tested negative, so nothing you ever say can be down to hiv, its that simple.

See you doctor if your not well.
