Hi am new to this site and want to say its a great site for helping people with their fears ? Here is my question 4 weeks ago I French kissed for a few minutes and received oral sex without a condom on for about 30 secs , I did ejaculate ! I did not know the persons HIV status but they said they were ok . However due to guilt and worry I have convinced my self I have HIV . I am asking Apollo or Kevin . I have read your other posts but I would really like you to explain to me the risk or non risk of receiving oral ? I spoke to dr Jose at freedom health and he said only check for std s and I did and I was clear but I am so paranoid about HIV . Have had a cold and sore throat for a few weeks now and am convinced it's the start of HIV ? Please help thank you in advance guys . mike
Buddy, kissing and receiving oral sex is not a risk of an HIV infection, Even if your partner had HIV.
Saliva is non-infectious. In fact it contains enzymes and proteins that break down the extremely fragile virus and render it non-viable. This is the reason that nobody, not a single person, in the entire 30 years has been around, as ever been infected this way.
Buddy, being paranoid and scared does not put you at a risk of an HIV infection. Nothing you have posted put you anywhere near an infection.
Hi kev thank you for my reply . Am sure it's just guilt as it the first time I cheated on my wife and I feel truly awful ? It's just as soon as you get the cold you fear the worst ? You have so many worried people on hear and I cannot thank you enough for helping me through a rough time ! Do you think I can just forget it and get on with x mas and enjoy time with the family as I have certainly learned a very harsh lesson ? Cheers pal
Buddy everybody that comes to this forum as learnt a harsh lesson. Nobody really cares about HIV because it is always something that happens to somebody else. It is not until somebody gets the real scare that it really is out there that people sit up and take notice.
Buddy you have had that scare, the kick in the pants sort of scare. Be assured that that is all it is. Your HIV status is not compromised; you have not been exposed to HIV infection.
So, yes, enjoy Xmas, forget HIV and especially enjoy New Year in Glasgow, great place for Hogmanay.
