Am I infected

Ive spent 3 harrowing months worried whether im HIV positive.. It all started with a brief MSM episode with a masseur. The guy gave me oral sex for a short time... he may have rubbed himself against me too..but no ejaculation. Anyways I freaked out and called it quits. Around 20 days later i started getting mild pharyngitis which continued for almost 2 weeks getting worse and then better. I went in for a rapid test (Tridot) at the end of 5 weeks. It came negative. I persuaded the masseur to do one to..he did it around a week later (6 weeks since the episode) and it too was negative. My throat got better (could palpate my lymph nodes in the neck still)..but i got a similar episode after another 15-20 days..again it went off... now i have the same symptoms (15 days after last one). I have lost some weght , but i have been so tensed i hardly eat well. Could This be symptoms of HIV.. I will be going in for my 3 month test soon..but am very scared.

Re: Am I infected

You had zero risk for HIV in the first place. Oral sex is only a theoretical risk, and would take some highly whacked out circumstances for it to happen...like a mouthful of blood.

You do not have HIV. I'll go a little further, even though oral sex is not a risk. Your partner tested negative at 6 weeks, that would be a 99%+ conclusive test. So he did not have HIV when you had your encounter. Add to that the fact that there is zero risk for HIV from oral sex and your 5 week negative test....you don't have HIV

Your symptoms? Who knows....see a doctor if they still bother you. It is impossible for them to be caused by HIV.
