| Finger-***** needles used in home-tests
I know that this question might sound very very stupid, but I'll be glad to receive an answer. I agree that my paranoia is probably driving me nuts.
As I mentioned in another thread, I did several "home-tests" by using a needle in the package to "***** my finger". The thing was gray in both set's, with a cap on, just like a normal needle )not hollow) with plastic wrapped around it. No safety function whatsoever.
I can't help myself but thinking what if someone wants to contaminate those tests (please follow me for a second). Theoretically speaking, is there any way to put enough virus on the needle, or on the included "disinfection tissue" that came along? The reason I am asking is that those kits were from some not fda-approved manufacturers.
I'd rather hear a scientific answer. This is my last question in resolving my HIV fear, I mean seriously, I know how stupid it sounds. But I am almost over that whole episode, thanks to this great forum
