HIV risk??

I was silly enough to meet someone and have unprotected oral sex, there was no *** ejaculated in my mouth and don't recal any pre-*** but can't be 100% sure, is there a risk of HIV?

The person told me their were clean and hoped there was some honesty there could there be a risk, should I get a check or over worrying?.

Thanks,

Re: HIV risk??

Its a common question we get asked here 10 times a week. Oral sex have been proved over 30 years its not a risk of HIV transmission, based on the fact their are recoreded cases and take in mind the trillions of oral acts that have happened and no one has got hiv from it. So are you at risk, no mate, not at all.

Thanks mate, can HIV be present in precum but if absorded orally it would need to be in very amounts to catch HIV surely? Another source says there are cases each year of HIV through oral sex but surely this would include swallowing semen and pre-*** (high amount) I dunno.

Re: HIV risk??

HIV experts have not seen a case of HIV transmission from oral sex, so i cannot agree with your statement ( infact i dont belive it at all. you have just read somthing of their website ) and in over 10,000 threads with oral sex i have never seen a case either. The mouth has over a dozen emzymes and proteins that make the virus inactive, so its just not possible and thats factual. The only chance you could get HIV from oral sex and this is therorectical, if you just had a tooth taken out and had large amounts of sperm enter that socket, which could then get into your blood stream. Because in your case that was not the case, its IMPOSSIBLE for any precom to get into the blood stream, hence why oral sex is not a risk of HIV infection.

Not to mention many studies with couple where when partner has HIV the other does not, comtinue to have oral sex and the negative partners status continued as negative and lets face facts, its unlikley your partner even had HIV, so this backs up further eveidence HIV is not passed on via oral sex.

Re: HIV risk??

Thanks. This has been interesting knowing these facts, and this is an experience not to be repeated.

Re: HIV risk??

Hi,

Then don't repeat it. Buddy doing something and then freaking out after the event is not how things work. Your sexual health is your responsibility. If you have any doubts or concerns prior to committing any sexual act, the answer is very simple, don't do it.

As it is, the act you did, did not expose you to HIV in the slightest.

Kevin.
