Should I bother getting tested for HIV...

... or any other STD for that matter?

I had unprotected oral sex with my ex boyfriend 4 or so months ago, and I've been asymptomatic in every sense of the word. He's a medical student, so I'm sure that he would recognize an STD, and I'm familiar with their symptoms as well. Also, he had donated blood (against my suggestion, as I don't think MSM are supposed to donate blood) and I suppose they didn't find any HIV in his blood or they would have told him.

I'm also a young college student and I'm still on my parent's insurance, and my university doesn't offer free STD testing, so I'm wondering if it would benefit me at all to pay out of pocket, and if your answer to this is yes, how much would it be?

Oral sex is not a risk of hiv, but their is a risk of std,s.
We think too much but feel to little. Dictators free themselves but enslave the people. A free mind cannot be enslaved.
