| | Negative HIV test at 8 weeks
I had unprotected sex with a girl I didn't know about 8 weeks ago. After having a rapid oraquick test 3 weeks after exposure, the test came back negative. I then took another oraquick test 7 weeks later and again the test result was negative.
Today I took the test again just to calm my anxiety a bit more, and it has been 8 weeks after exposure and the test result was negative. I took a rapid finger *****ing test.
Does the negative finger ***** result at 8 weeks indicate a good likelihood that I am also going to be negative at 12 weeks? I would also like to say that I am on antibiotics and gout tablets to control my uric acidity levels.
I also have one more question, after receiving the test result today I placed my hand on the door knob. I thought I might have gotten some blood on the finger the doctor had *****ed but I couldn't tell because there was nothing wet on my finger. My finger was also covered by a bandage. Should I be freaking out about this? After 3 minutes from touching the door knob I went to go wash my hands, does washing my hands or water prolong the life of hiv cells and thus allow the hiv cells to travel my *****ed finger? Also does 3 minutes exposure to air kill hiv cells?
Sorry for the long winded story, it's just I'm so anxious and I haven't been able to sleep or eat lately.
