I do not know where I should really post but I thought I would start here. My neurologists has ordered an ATCH stimulation test to rule out cushings. I have numerous symptoms and have had tons of tests ,one of which was a spinal tap that showed intracranial hypertension. I seen my neurologists on Thursday and he said he wanted to test me for Cushings ( I have a buffalo hump that gets big and small and hurts) and a few other symptoms that could come from Cushings. He just wants to make sure nothing else is causing the pressure just in case I need a shunt. I have looked this up on the web and I am not really coming up with this being a test for Cushings. I did see an endocrinologist for my multinodular goiter and had ultrasounds, bloodwork and a biopsy all on my thyroid. I have told my endocrinologists about all of my symptoms but he never said anything about cushings. What is an ATCH stimulation test for? Will it benefit me to get it. Could it maybe show cushings or anything else. I am just stumped. What do you all think?
