Hi!
I had surgery a year ago to remove an endometrioma and my right ovary. (this cyst grew
freakishly fast, 4cm in 4 months, and was huge at time of surgery, I am told that is extremely rare) I am 44, and have found out I have very bad estrogen dominance and metabolism, and I am working with a doctor to try to balance my hormones, which I get reactions to. (Long story, but I can't tolerate any form of progesterone, which I need, it causes horrible IBS cramping)
I have PTSD regarding the surgery, and I relive it all the time, and live in constant fear that I WILL get another cyst, tumor, or cancer very soon. I am
convinced of this, even though currently tests show no cyst
right now. I am starting EMDR (a treatment for PTSD) next week to try to help with this.
I have an unusual question.
I have tried many message boards trying to find encouragement regarding estrogen dominance. All I read are horror stories.
Is there anyone here who has or knows someone who has estrogen dominance and has NOT developed any serious health problems? Any GOOD news? I need a word of HOPE from someone, as my doctors don't offer much of anything comforting, even seeing what an emotional mess I am.
Any words of encouragement are appreciated!!!
Desperate and Scared, Val
