What is the range?
I am assuming it is elevated...
It can be elevated for several reasons - hypothyroid, medications, or tumor or even illness. Now you need to figure out if you are on any medications that have elevations in prolaction as a side effect. If not, get a thorough thyroid exam (not just TSH, but free T3 and free T4) and antibodies.
Test it again. Also, are you producing milk or liquid? Are you sore?

I had one... as well as a cushing's tumor (a two-fer!)...
The good thing about a prolactinoma is that it can be treated with medications, and surgery is not usually indicated unless it is large.
