I've suffered from primary hypothyroidism, from Hashimoto's, for years--but continued to get sicker and sicker...had to do lots of research to find out that my primary hypothyroidism had become secondary hypothyroidism: my pituitary was not working correctly due to a tumor.
I had one doctor who told me that I could only mention two symptoms for her to deal with---well, I had multiple symptoms affecting multiple systems---vision, metabolism, gastro, sleep, orthopedic, psychiatric,etc...
My symptoms went beyond what other hypothyroid sufferers were going through---I started contacting people I knew who had been diagnosed with problems like mine---and I found they weren't suffering the debilitating problems I was dealing with all alone.
I ended up doing a bunch of research on my own---'cause no one else was bothering with me---and I found help.
