Ok, so I have been on HRT for over a year, is there any way to test the levels to see if they are ok....my dr says no.....I can't believe that!!! I live in Manitoba, Canada so if someone out there knows if there is a way and what its called, let me know. Also, I am on thyroid meds and get them tested regularly and did about a month ago, but the last week or so I feel like I have a head cold, just a bubble head feeling as well as I know if I was to move my head really fast I would probably have a severe dizzy spelll.. this is a different feeling from what I used to get when the hormones were outta whack, so wondering if there are any other suggestions, advice??

i think there are saliva tests that you can do at home and send away. <removed> I have not tried them but if your doctor is unwilling to do bloodwork to find out.. i think this would be the next best thing, unless you find another doctor

Looks a bit pricey...

Sounds like you've got a lazy doctor.
There are tests for hormones---if the doctor doesn't go along---then I'd try and find another one. I've heard that up there in Canada, you get assigned a doctor---and can't go to another one---but I've also heard that if you're willing to pay "extra"----there are doctors who are willing to see you.

You definitely need to start with some basic tests---just to see if you're suffering from something obvious---otherwise, there are lots of consumer labs out there---I guess you're not alone in thinking your doctor is not doing his job...
