Question Does this look like cushing's?

I have been trying to figure out whats going on for the past few years, I used to be rail thin at 120lbs and 5'11 and ate whatever I wanted without gaining (even when I was working out and trying to gain)
Then around the time i turned 22-23 I started gaining weight slowly without any change in habits.

About a year later it really picked up speed and I gained a ton of belly fat, but not much else. Im now 25 and gaining fat like im eating constantly, but have very little appetite for the most part, am very fatigued to where i can barely get moving in the mornings no matter how much sleep i get...
\
I also have tons of stretch marks, had a few from my teens, but with this huge gain they have gotten alot bigger over the years, and now I look pregnant, and have noticed fat pads growing above my clavicle and at the base of the back of my neck.

I finally built up the courage to post a pic for some ideas on why im getting so huge (attachment) and hopefully I can help others before they start looking pregnant like I do now... But at least it seems to be all soft subcutaneous fat instead of the hard visceral stuff I read most gain instead (found the silver lining maybe..? lol)

I have an appointment with an endo, but it is in 3 months so any tips on losing this thing are greatly appreciated

Re: Does this look like cushing's?

I have some similar symptoms and am in the process of getting tested for cushings. I also have gained a lot of weight, look pregnant, and have a ton of stretch marks. Unlike your symptoms though, I have extreme cravings, chronic hives, and sleep up to 21 hours a day. For whatever reason my doctor won't refer me to an endo yet. Instead he's doing the 24 hour urine test. Hopefully I'll find out the results today. I don't blame you at all for not wanting to wait three months! You could ask your gp to do a 24 hour urine test and start the process. There are several tests you have to do for adrenal problems to narrow down the direct cause of the disease. From what I've read Cushings can be difficult to diagnose but the tests can differentiate where the problem lies; the adrenals or the pituitary.

It's very frustrating to have to wait. I've been sick for 4 months now and doctor's seem ridiculously stupid. My situation is a little different because I started out with severe hives and ended up with adrenal problems because of medical malpractice so my adrenal issues came on strong and virtually overnight. If you google cushings and look under "Images" I think Cushings is easy to visually diagnose! Good luck to you and hopefully you can either get your gp to do a 24 hour urine or get your endo appt bumped up sooner!

Re: Does this look like cushing's?

Now that you mention it I do have cravings as well as sleeping way too much..
I dont know if they are hives but I have gotten little bumps all over my fingers off and on as well as boils on my thighs and other sensitive spots.

Please keep me updated on your progress as it sounds like we may have the same thing.
