| Does a hormone test mean anything when you are on BC?
The results have come back that I have very low estrogen (oestradiol)
(< 50 pmol/L which equates to < 13.6 pg/ml) , and I am only 21.
Also my Serum LH level came out as 1.5 iu/L which has marked as below the normal range.
FSH is fine and normal.
But I am on the pill... does this make a difference to the result rendering them false readings?
I took the test 5 days into the 7 day break (Day 3 of the fake cycle)
The thing is I have been having symptoms of Atrophic Vaginitis for 1.5 years, not so much the dry part but the burning skin and burning urination side of things, which is why I had the test, and I don't know whether or not to start using the Estrogen cream that I have been prescribed (I was prescribed this before I had the hormone test to try to see if it helps but I don't want to go putting more hormones into my body if it's not the right answer, considering my age as well). The doctor did not request a follow up appointment and I have to wait until after Christmas now anyway but if any of you could help me then I'd be very grateful! :-)
