| High Cortisol? Can't figure these results out
Hey all, looking for expert advice.
I've been going through some serious problems for years now and am still trying to figure this out. I have done three different forms of cortisol testing: serum, salivary, and urinary. They all seem to conflict with each other and I'm not sure what to make of them. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it. Here they are: Serum (11/16/12) Cortisol AM - 15.3mcg/dL Range [4.0 - 22.0] Cortisol PM - 8.5mcg/dL Range [3.0 - 17.0] Salivary (9/26/12) 7 - 9AM - .37mcg/dL Range [.27 - 1.18] 11AM - 1PM - .21mcg/dL Range [.10 - .41] 3 - 5PM - .32mcg/dL Range [.05 - .27] 10PM - 12PM - .05mcg/dL Range [.03 - .14] Urinary Lab #1 (10/23/12) Cortisone -
403ug/24hours Range [92 - 366] Tetrahydrocortisone -
10413ug/24hours Range [1365 - 5788] Tetrahydrocorticosterone -
285ug/24hours Range [32 - 238] 5a-Tetrahydrocorticosterone -
1391ug/24hours Range [135 - 588] Tetrahydro-11-dehydrocorticosterone -
612ug/24hours Range [52 - 277] Cortisol -
183ug/24hours Range [35 - 168] Tetrahydrocortisol -
3183ug/24hours Range [942 - 2800] 5a-Tetrahydrocortisol -
7415ug/24hours Range [796 - 2456] Creatinine -
2.64g/24hours Range [.63 - 2.50]
So all said, my serum results look pretty good, my salivary results look decent, but my urinary results are high, sometimes very high, in every category related to cortisol. Thoughts? What results should I be trusting?
