I was diagonesed last year with having HPV after having a colposcopy and biopsy. Subsequently, I was then diagnosed with cervicitis (inflammed cervix). I just had my 6 month pap done and got yet another abnormal result. I am repeating the same cycle of colposcopy and biopsy on Friday. Is this going to be a never ending cycle? Will I ever have a normal pap and be symptom free again? Luckily though I have no physical symptoms except for a heavy discharge. Thanks.
Unfortunately, as long as you have HPV there is always going to be that risk of an abnormal pap. Just take care of yourself and try to keep your immune system as healthy as possible and that should help.
