HPV question

So I went to the Dr for a usual STD check up..and I told him that I noticed small bump lookin things at the tip of my foreskin (not circumsized) and he said they were warts.. I think I got it from a this girl who gave me head. So Ive been reading ALLOOT about this.. cuz i still cant believe it. Ive been takin multivitamins everyday, and even read something bout Tea Tree Oil kill the cells in the skin that cause the warts and being a veerrryy good antiviral medicine. I read studies while although they say the virus stays in your system how it can pass through your system and even if u build up your immune system u can actually permanently suppress the virus. I wanna know what you guys think about what I know already. Also heres wat I was thinking.. since ive only seen the bumps in that one area.. around the tip of my foreskin.. suppose I got circusized.. cut that **** off ? lol.. crazy right? I dunno just a thought. If this is the case and I do have HPV Im fighting it bigtime. Multivitamins, immune system build ups, everything.

Re: HPV question

most ppl with a healthy immune system fight it off within 6 months and rarely get another outbreak. almost everyone has hpv, jsut many dont show it, and many more dont ever, until they go through a stressful event. its really common, in fact current studies show that infants get the virus days after being born, form the hospital facility and from ppl touching the babies. it can be transmitted through sex or skin to skin or skin to object and then to skin contact. so you can imagine how many ppl have this.

hope this clears things up.

Although possible, it is unlikely that you contracted HPV through oral sex. Normally this would only happen if you or your partner were somehow severely immune suppressed. Up to 80% of the sexually active adult population in America has HPV, so you could have gotten it anywhere. It is possible that you have had the virus for years or more without knowing.

Getting circumcised will not help. The virus is in your whole system, it is only appearing on your foreskin. Having the foreskin removed will not eliminate the virus from your body.

I know it is upsetting to be told that you have an incurable STD, but it really isn't the end of the world, and it is so common. I am sure you will start to feel better about it once you have more info.

Good luck.

Re: HPV question

I agree with analog2000, you could have gotten HPV at any time throughout your life that you had any kind of intimate skin to skin contact. With something like HPV, it would be near impossible to figure out where you got it from. And like analog2000 said, I highly doubt it was the woman who recently performed oral sex on you.
