I was wondering, is HPV only contagious from skin to skin contact if someone is showing visible signs? Or is there other ways to contract it, like through semen,etc.? If someone isn't showing signs of HPV, but have contracted the virus before, can they still give it to others through unprotected sex or other means?

You can get it from unprotected sex if they have symptoms or not.

I was in speaking with my doctor the other day about HPV and she had told me that about 70% or women have it. We will most likely contract it from haveing as little as 2 partners and only one time of unprotected sex. I believe the stat that she said on men was only like 33%. From what I under stand it is an STD and the virus can only be passed through sex.
