There is low risk hpv which is the visible warts and does not have a risk for cancer. Then there is high risk which does not have visible warts and you will only know from an abnormal smear and it has risk if cancer. When you get your results from the lab it will say "one or more of the following" and list all the high risk or low risk strains. There are too many strains and to test each one would be too costly.
