Hpv/ingrown Hair - Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Message Board

Can the Genital Warts medication PODOFILOX be used to treat ingrown hairs? My best friend found a box of it in her boyfriend's medicine cabinet and when she asked what it was for he claims his doctor gave it to him to treat his ingrow hairs from when he shaved his genital area. I'm really scared for her and have been looking for information for this for a few days now. And I really want to get her some answers. She believes him but the story sounds like complete b.s. to me. I mean why would a doctor give HPV meds for ingrown hairs. It sound a little shady.
If anyone actually knows anything about medication or is a doctor could answer my question that would be a great help!

you're a great friend.
drug like that cannot be used for ingrown hair. so he's got a virus or obviously some kinda wart. but he was shocked by a sudden confrontation, and lied I suppose. so ur friend can talk to him again, in a not-so-attacking fashion that she had read about it etc... he might talk, and both can stay close ... Goodluck
