i havent gotton a coloposcopy for hpv in a few years and was on stage 1 or 2 4 1/2 years ago and was clear from cryo. since i have not gotton a coloposcopy in a few years the last 2 pap smears i got they didnt get all they needed due to thick mucous is there a chance i might have gone up stages again?

I'm sorry to say this, but yes. When did you say your last Pap and your last colposcopy were? It sounds to me like you need to get in to get those done. From what you wrote, it sounds like you didn't get paps every year. Is that correct.

Do you know what type of HPV you tested positive for? high risk? or low risk?

There's ALWAYS a chance you could go up stages (or that someone who's never had an abnormal pap could present with symptoms). The best thing any woman can do for herself is to keep up with exams and catch any problems early when they can be treated easily.
