YAY results ;)

My results from my biopsys came back!
shows low-grade & no further treatment will be necessary for now!
the ECC shows a palpuos? not sure what that is.. irregular cell formation I suppose.. but anyway, it is beneign and get the chance to fight the virus naturally using the power of immunity and hope to see improvements at my next pap in Dec.!
Thank you guys sooo much for your help and support! This virus is has to be the scariest thing I've experinced yet.

Re: YAY results ;)

Yay!!! What a weight off your shoulders.

I had similar results to my colposcopy and my doctor told me not to come back for a year; was it the same for you? I thought I'd need to come back more often.

I have to go back in six months.. not a year.. that way new tissue has time to build and they can see where my body is going and whether or not it can stabilize itself or not.. or something to that effect
I wouldn't wait a whole year if they recommended it, six months is the longest I would wait.

Re: YAY results ;)

Yeah, I've had very frustrating conversations with my clinic about this. I asked if it would be better to come back in six months, and they just kept responding that my insurance wouldn't pay for another pap within a year because my results were "mild" rather than "moderate" (and I'm not sure exactly where they draw the line between mild and moderate . . . it sounds like that would be a judgment call by a lab tech.)

Anyway, I kept asking whether it was MEDICALLY better to come back in six months, NOT whether my insurance would pay for it, but they didn't seem to be hearing what I was saying.

I think I'm just going to go back in six months and pay for it. It's not like it will hurt anything, and I'd like to know what direction things are going.

Oh I KNOW! Mine said the same when I asked if maybe I should come back in three months!
But maybe you should talk to your actual gyno as ask if she could agree to let you come back in six months, for your sake?

What else is kind of funny is that I have not heard the words "Mild" or "Moderate" be said about me.. only that my tests only show "low-grade"... I also haven't been diagnosed with any particular type of HPV or CIN I, II or III.. so it is kind of hard for me to visualize where I am on the scale of things.. all I know is that I was told to take my vitamins and folic acids, stop smoking and stay active and come back in 6 months for a pap..

Didn't you get a LEEP or something done? I would think they would want you back sooner than a year to see how things are and make sure they got everything.. That's the hard part about not being a medical professional, you're just kind of taking the doctor's word for it..

Anyway.. Call your gyno and see if she can shift her recommendation maybe?
& remember, you CAN go back sooner than the recommended time but your insurance won't pay for it!!!!!!!!! (meant to be sarcastic )
