Hi there! I just found this board and I think its great that theres such a supportive helpful forum for this!
I just wanted to get some thoughts on what *could* happen. I am not sure if this should go here or in the Cervical cancer area so please tell me if I should post elsewhere.

When I was pregnant and they did the routine check up (first one after getting pregnant) they did a pap and it came back both HPV positive AND HGSIL.
As if I werent feeling emotional enough being pregnant, they gave me a wonderful pamphlet called 'DO I HAVE CERVICAL CANCER?' and told me all the stuff about 'if left untreated it could become cancer etc etc.'
Welllllllllll
Rewind about 8 years. (I'm 36 now) I had gone to planned parenthood to get birth control pills and they did an exam... a week or so later they called and left me a message saying my pap was abnormal and I needed to call them. Well I was getting ready to move and in the shuffle I forgot all about it. That is until I got pregnant. THEN it came back to me.
So I am very concerned. I mean here it's been 8-9 years since that pap and I never got anything done.
Anyhow after I had my daughter they tried unsucessfully to do a colpo.... 4 times.
Apparently after having her my cervix has retreated somewhere up near my lungs or something.

I was supposed to have it done under anaesthetic at the hospital but then we moved here to Tennessee and I had to start the whole process over.
I had my pap earlier this month and of course it still shows HGSIL. Just getting the pap done was like pulling teeth. The nurse had to push down on my abdomen while the gyn swabbed. Sheesh.
I go for a colpo on July 23rd. I warned them it wouldnt be easy. ha-ha.
If anyone has any words of wisdom I'd sure appreciate it! Sorry to have rambled!
Thanks!
Michelle
