Re: How Long Does Hpv Stay In Your Body?

It's actually a highly debated subject. Some doctors believe that your immune system only suppresses the virus and symptoms could return at any time. Others believe that once your body fights off a strain of HPV, it's gone for good.

In either case, your body usually fights off the symptoms in 1-2 years.

Also, it's important to remember that even if your body fights off one strain, there are hundreds you could possibly get, so just because you get rid of it once doesn't mean you'll never have it again.
