Unhappy colposcopy

how long does it take to get the results on a colposcopy back its been a week since i had mine

i think it was within a week that my doc called me. i would call and see if they have them

I had my colpo results in about 5 days. You can call them and see if they are in yet. That's what I did. I didn't give them time to call me!

In the future, you might want to also check if your clinic offers online patient services.

Mine does, so after my colpo I was hitting "refresh" a lot until the results finally came in. Also, it lets you read your actual lab reports when the results come back along with notes from your doctor.

I know not everyone would have access to this, but it's a good idea to check.

It also takes away the worry with doctors that have the "no news is good news" policy about getting your test results back to you.

Try calling the clinic; a nurse or physician's assistant might be able to tell you your results.

If they can't hang in there! I know sometimes not knowing is worse than any possible news you could get.
