Since you are already sexually active with this guy he has already been exposed. Now, who knows whether you gave it to him, he gave it to you, someone else gave it to him or you.
What it means for you might be different depending on your age. If you are under 30, there is a good chance your body can fight the virus (but it most likely will stay in your body and possibly could reactive in the future). If you are over 30 you could fight the virus, but you might not.
Regardless, it means you keep to get pap smears every year (or as often as your doctor recommends). No excuse.
