No, vaginal odor is not one of the symptoms of HPV. That tends to happen more with bacterial infections, like chlamydia and gonorrhea.
Yes, it is very possible to have HPV and not have warts. In fact, there are a lot of different types of HPV. They can be roughly divided into two categories: those that cause warts and those that contribute to cervical cancer. Usually, if a type causes one of those things it doesn't cause the other.
