Can you deliver a baby vaginally when HPV has been found in the birth canal?

I have a 6 month old son and at the time i didn't know that i was HPV positive on my cevix not gentital and when giving birth the baby obviously comes down through the cervix and i did not pass it on to my son so i can't see why you cant deliver a baby viginally.
