I have been diagnosed with HPV, but the doctor simply gave me a leaflet and was not very helpful. As you can imagine, I was both shocked and embarrassed so did not ask many questions. Can anyone tell me about their experiences with HPV? How does is affect you? And do you need to go for more pap smears than women without the infection? I am too young to go for a pap smear.
I have to ask
- how you were diagnosed,
- and whether you have low-risk (warts) or high-risk (cancer causing). If it's high risk, then it is very very important that you get a PAP test done.
Thisby asked some good questions. In addition to her questions I have a few, how old are you? I'm also curious, you think you are too young for paps; at what age do you think women need to start getting those?
