Hi there. I am 21 years old, and have had two sexual partners (one is my current boyfriend). My doctor just gave me the results from my first pap smear back, and at some point, I contracted HPV and now have atypical cells.
I have several questions because I was too shocked to think of much to ask my doctor. Hopefully someone can help me out
1. Before I had sex for the first time, my then-boyfriend was fully tested. I know now that HPV cannot be tested for, so I'm curious whether, if he was the one to pass HPV to me, had HPV stayed in his system forever, so he would pass it to all future partners?
