It sounds to me like you have/had some strain of HPV to have been diagnosed with dysplasia 7 years ago. If you and your husband have had any sexual contact (and I assume you have), then you have shared the strains of HPV that you each could have brought to the relationship.
I think the chances of oral cancer (for you or him - from HPV) is very small. The greater concern (as I understand it) is with cervical, vaginal, or vulvar cancers. I'm glad to know you are getting paps every year.
I don't know how old you are, but if you are over 30, you might ask your doctor to do an HPV/dna test the next time he/she does your pap. That will help give you more information about what HPV could be doing in your body.
